Marie-France Beauchesne joined the CCAPP Board in June 2021 as an appointee for AFPC.

Marie-France is a graduate from the Faculté de pharmacie, Université de Montréal (B.Pharm 1995, M.Sc hospital pharmacy, 1996) and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UBC (Pharm.D., 1998). She completed a residency in respiratory medicine at University of North Carolina in 1999.

Marie-France is currently a pharmacist at “Santé Québec Estrie-CHUS” where she dedicates her time to the role of the clinical pharmacist in internal medicine, with a special interest in respiratory medicine.

Marie-France is also a clinical professor and associate vice dean of pharmacy studies at the Faculté de pharmacie, Université de Montréal. She was involved in the development and implementation of various programs such as professional development and continuing education, the Master’s in advanced pharmacotherapy, and most recently, the diploma in advanced pharmacy practice (similar to a PGY2 residency program). She was also involved in the creation of the “Bureau d’évaluation et d’amélioration continue des programmes d’études”.

Marie-France is a member of various organisations such as the “Réseau québécois d’éducation en santé respiratoire (RQESR), and more recently joined the medical and scientific advisory committee of Asthma Canada. Marie-France focus is on the continuous improvement of the quality of the programs in pharmacy education
