Tana is an experienced pharmacy technician that has been involved in a diverse range of pharmacy roles within pharmacy practice, including frontline pharmacy technician, leader, manager, educator, speaker, assessor, and certifier.  She is currently the Operations Manager for the Cancer Care Pharmacy Network at Alberta Health Services.  Over the past 35 years, Tana has been passionate about pharmacy technicians being inspired to expand their knowledge and skills, work to full scope, and pursue professional and leadership opportunities.  As a certified change practitioner, Tana holds a role with a national pharmacy examining body, was the first pharmacy technician to sit on the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities Board of Directors and is the first pharmacy technician President of the Board for the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs.  Calgary is home to Tana where she has experience in various pharmacy specialties such as Acute Care, Community Oncology, Corrections, Forensic Psychiatry, Outpatients, Central Production and in Provincial Operations as a Technical Practice Leader.   In the educational sector, Tana has been a member of Pharmacy Technician Program Advisory Committees, a contractual lab instructor, and a curriculum developer for a Pharmacy Assistant program.  Tana has completed Critical Point Sterile Compounding training and has participated in various working groups for both the Alberta College of Pharmacy and the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities.
